BoConcept has announced its first collaboration with Copenhagen-based design studio atelier axo, bringing a new dining collection to the world. The BoConcept × atelier axo collection launches globally from April 8, 2026, introducing a fresh architectural perspective to modern Danish design.
Founded by Rose Hermansen and Caroline Vogel, atelier axo works across architecture, interior design, and furniture, merging refined design with tactile material expression. In this axo dining collection, the tradition of Scandinavian craftsmanship has been reinterpreted through a contemporary lens—resulting in furniture that is modern, quietly serene, and warmly inviting.
"For us, contemporary Scandinavian design is about a particular rigor in form, material, and craftsmanship," says Rose. "Rooted in functionality and quietness, we want to create things that endure rather than follow trends. People today mix eras and styles freely. We wanted to design something that breathes naturally within that sensibility—timeless, yet open enough to accommodate different elements."
Architectural Sensibility Meets Human Warmth

The architectural background of atelier axo comes through in the sculptural proportions found throughout the collection—from the elegant stance of table legs to the precisely structured cabinets.
"There's a moment where structure and intuition quietly overlap—a quality you find in architecture too, and something we're always drawn to," explains Rose. "By giving pieces clear proportions and then adding details that feel almost handcrafted, we create a kind of quiet depth."
The collection is finished in natural oak and dark oak veneer, bringing out the texture and expressive grain of the wood. The travertine round dining table—an iconic piece of the collection—carries the natural veining of stone, making each piece uniquely its own.
"Both oak and travertine are 'living materials,'" says Rose. "The beauty they develop as they age over time is what gives furniture its true character."
Thinking About Dining as a Whole
The axo collection presents a cohesive vision for the dining space. Beyond the dining table itself, a sideboard and a glass-door cabinet complete the lineup, enabling a fluid connection between the dining and living areas. The gently rippled frosted glass used on the cabinet adds a quietly distinctive touch.
"There's something nostalgic about that glass," says Rose. "Rather than completely concealing what's inside, it softens the view while allowing light and color to pass through. That ambiguity connects to the warmth we care about."
Functionality and flexibility are equally central to the design.
"We wanted a series that feels relaxed and warm—not furniture to admire, but furniture to live with," Rose continues. "The forms are simple and architectural, while the soft glass and warm wood bring in emotional texture. Proportions that stand the test of time will quietly shape the atmosphere of a home as life unfolds around them."
Dining at the Heart of Everyday Life

Rooted in the Scandinavian culture of gathering, the axo collection positions the dining table as the center of everyday life.
"For us, dining is a cherished place embedded in daily life—a time to pause, talk, and connect," says Rose. "Human warmth is about unpretentious comfort. Not grand gestures, but design that welcomes, materials that feel good to touch, light that softens a room—these small elements nurture conversation and a sense of togetherness. The dining table should be a place where people naturally want to gather."
A Modern Reinterpretation of Scandinavian Design
Conceived with a younger, design-conscious generation in mind, the axo collection balances architectural clarity with the warmth to suit a wide range of interiors.
"We designed furniture to accompany you through the changes of life," explains Rose. "It fits naturally into a compact apartment and equally into a larger home. Timeless design made for real living."
Clean lines, thoughtfully chosen materials, and refined craftsmanship—the axo collection is quiet, functional, and built to be loved for a long time, embodying the sensibility of contemporary Scandinavian design.
