Eiken, an ADK Emotions group company that produces the TV anime series Bonobono, has shared the latest news on the franchise.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bonobono's serialization and the 10th anniversary of the TV anime broadcast, "Bonobono Shop – 40th & 10th Thank You –" will open at Kinshicho Marui from Friday, August 14 to Sunday, August 30. The shop will offer a wide range of goods featuring the "40th Anniversary Celebration Art" plush motif, along with numerous early-release items, including a face pack that lets fans transform into Bonobono. Merchandise featuring illustrations of the QuizKnock members' characters, part of the 10th anniversary collaboration "Bonobono x QuizKnock" announced on June 26, will also go on sale.
On Saturday, August 29, author Mikio Igarashi will hold a signing event to mark the release of the original comic's 50th volume (on sale July 16). Participation will be by advance reservation on a first-come, first-served basis, with further details to be announced later on the official X account.

Comic Volume 50 Released Today, July 16
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of serialization, Bonobono's 50th volume goes on sale today, July 16. In this volume, Raccoon comes up with a curious new game called "Kassa," which starts out as a strange pastime before growing into a full team competition. The series' familiar cast gathers for a lively story full of laughs and suspense, centered on the Kassa matches as the forest friends team up to compete.

New Merchandise Highlights
Bonobono x MYFAV Face Pack & Eau de Toilette
A face pack that lets fans transform into Bonobono is coming, inspired by a 2026 April Fools' Day post on Bonobono's social media.
The accompanying eau de toilette was developed with a fruity woody scent evoking Bonobono, chosen by author Mikio Igarashi himself. Both items will go on sale earliest at "Bonobono Shop in Kinshicho Marui." To mark the launch, a giveaway campaign has also started on MYFAV's official social media accounts.
Bonobono x QuizKnock Merchandise
Goods featuring illustrations of the QuizKnock members' characters are also on the way. As part of the 10th anniversary collaboration "Bonobono x QuizKnock" announced on June 26, the QuizKnock members will make guest appearances in the TV anime for four consecutive weeks starting Saturday, August 8, 2026, each voicing their own character. The characters were designed by director Hidenori Yamaguchi, based on each of the eight QuizKnock members' traits, favorite animals, and colors from the "QuizKnock 10th Anniversary Project." Collaboration Cafe "BONO BONO-shiMATCHAcafe-" Opens in Harajuku
Bonobono, marking its 40th manga anniversary and the TV anime's 10th anniversary this year, will also hold a collaboration cafe at the Harakado branch of "Share CAFE by Anique," an experience-driven cafe that blends pop culture and food.
For a limited time, the matcha and age-pan (fried bread) specialty cafe will be reimagined as "BONO BONO-shiMATCHAcafe-," bringing the world of Bonobono to life. The recurring character "Shimacchau Ojisan" takes over the cafe, offering rich matcha drinks, crispy age-pan, and other menu items themed around Bonobono.
Original goods featuring newly drawn illustrations of the forest friends enjoying the collaboration food and drinks will also be sold, including Bonobono trying his best to finish his age-pan so he isn't "put away" by Shimacchau Ojisan. Sales begin on the event's opening day at both the Share CAFE Harakado store and the online shop "Anique Shop." Details on the collaboration menu and merchandise lineup will be announced later on a special page and Anique's official social media.
