Caffarel (カファレル), the Turin-born Italian chocolate brand founded in 1826 and approaching its 200th anniversary in 2026, is now offering a new line of "Chocotto Packs" (選んで味わう チョコっとパック) exclusively on its official Japanese online shop, starting June 12, 2026 (Friday) at 12:00 PM.
While Caffarel is widely known for Gianduia, the brand carries a broader lineup of chocolates that many customers have yet to discover. The Chocotto Pack series was created to make it easy to sample that variety — each pack contains five pieces of a single variety, with simple eco-friendly packaging and prices designed to be approachable. The packs are also handy as an add-on to reach a free shipping minimum.

About Gianduia
In 1865, with cacao in short supply due to the Napoleonic Wars, chocolatiers in Piedmont turned to the region's abundant hazelnuts. By blending hazelnut paste into cacao, they created a richer flavor while supplementing limited supplies — and so Gianduia was born. The resulting combination of cacao and hazelnut paste went on to become one of the most beloved chocolate styles in the world. 2025 marked the 160th anniversary of its creation.
