A new Koshu Inden gamaguchi (clasp coin purse) featuring Pochita from Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is now available from Nihon Television Service Co., Ltd. The purse is crafted by Inden no Yamamoto, a workshop based in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
Pre-orders are now open on PochiMart, with the purse also set to go on sale at CHAINSAW MAN PLAZA – The Movie: Reze Arc venues (referred to below as CHAINSAW MAN PLAZA).
About the Product
The purse applies the design of Pochita to Koshu Inden, a traditional technique in which tanned deerskin is dyed and then decorated with lacquer patterns. The material is soft, lightweight, and durable, and its texture changes with continued use.
Because each piece is finished by hand, the coloring and lacquer patterns vary slightly from item to item, giving every purse its own individual character.
Pochita is rendered in lacquer, with a scale pattern that evokes both Pochita's tail and the starter-rope cord on Chainsaw Man's chest.
The purse is sized for easily carrying small items.
The clasp opens wide for easy use.
- Because natural deerskin is used and the lacquer is applied by hand, the coloring and pattern placement may differ slightly from the photos.
- Strong folding or snagging may cause the lacquer to crack or peel.
- Exposure to water may change the texture or cause the color to transfer onto clothing, so please handle with care.
About the Maker: Inden no Yamamoto
Inden no Yamamoto is a Koshu Inden maker founded in 1950 in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It is the only workshop in Japan with a comprehensive-division Koshu Inden Traditional Craftsman, and it works to pass on traditional techniques through its craftsmanship.
Koshu Inden, a traditional craft representative of Yamanashi Prefecture, applies lacquer patterns to deerskin. It developed in Kai Province during the Edo period and has been passed down to the present day. While valuing traditional production methods, the company also develops collaboration products and takes on custom orders, expanding new possibilities for Koshu Inden.

About the Chainsaw Man Anime
The original work is Chainsaw Man, a manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto that has sold over 36 million copies. Part One was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha), and Part Two is serialized in Shonen Jump+ (Shueisha).
The TV anime Chainsaw Man (TV Tokyo and other networks, produced by MAPPA) has aired since October 2022 and is now distributed in more than 200 countries and regions.
