Champion, the global sportswear brand, will release its first sweat-type recovery wear from late October. It will go on sale in stages at the Champion official online store, Champion directly operated stores and retailers across Japan.
The item is a new sweat set-up that combines the craftsmanship Champion has built up over more than 100 years of making sweatshirts with the recovery function of a general medical device.
It was developed under the concept "Seamlessly Connecting OFF TIME." The design is meant to suit not only sleep and relaxing at home but also short outings and travel or transit. It combines the comfortable feel of a sweatshirt with a refined silhouette, so the recovery wear fits naturally into many everyday situations.
Champion Craftsmanship and Functional Design
Drawing on its long experience in making sweatshirts, Champion paid close attention to everything from the silhouette and sewing to the finer details. The design goes beyond ordinary sleepwear or loungewear and is intended to look polished on short outings and long journeys, such as an airport outfit.
The top has a relaxed fit with extra room in the shoulders and body. Its 3D:4CUT three-dimensional pattern, made of four panels (front, both sides and back), gives a shape that follows the lines of the body.
Three-needle flat stitching makes the seams less likely to rub against the skin, which is meant to suit long wear and sleeping. The pants have extra room from the waist to the thighs, giving a relaxed feel without looking too loose.
The Champion logo is added in a tone close to the body color, giving a minimal, refined look that does not stand out too much. The design aims to avoid looking like loungewear so that it blends in on short outings and while traveling.
