Sanrio Puroland in Tama City, Tokyo, has launched the special event "Colorful Puroland," running from January 16 (Friday) to March 16 (Monday), 2026. This year's event features colorful, photo-worthy content throughout the venue. Here's a first-day report from January 16.
The event centers around the theme of "color," with Puroland characters appearing in their respective colors, offering a colorful world where guests can enjoy their favorite colors. Pop decorations and photo spots themed around different colors are set up throughout the venue, creating an event that appeals to all generations.
Colorful Puroland House - The Event's Main Attraction
The highlight is the "Colorful Puroland House," appearing for a limited time at the Entertainment Hall. The house features "Favorite Color Character Rooms" where guests can immerse themselves in the characters' worlds, the "Sparkling Kuromi Room," and a special room for Ado-Rosa Tourmaline, created through a collaboration with singer Ado. These rooms allow guests to take photos as if they're spending time with the characters.
On the first day, guests were seen rushing to their favorite characters, with children saying "I want to take a photo with this character!" and friends enjoying selfies together, expressing how happy they were to capture cute photos.
At the media preview, Hello Kitty in a striking red costume, Bad Badtz-Maru dressed in black, and Wish Me Mell in a white-based costume made special appearances. Bad Badtz-Maru and Wish Me Mell revealed their new costumes for the first time, creating a festive atmosphere at the venue.
Additionally, the Entertainment Hall features "Giant Advertisement-Style Favorite Color Wall," "Favorite Color Banner Flags," large heart-shaped arches, and photo spots combining plush toys and mirrors, where many guests were seen enjoying photo sessions.
Musical The Prince of Tennis 4th Season Collaboration
Musical The Prince of Tennis 4th Season Seigaku vs. Shitenhoji comes to Colorful Puroland. A special photo spot on the 4th floor features characters recreating visuals from the musical, allowing guests to enjoy the colorful Puroland world together with Ryoma and friends. This limited-time special photo spot is perfect for capturing memorable photos.
Original merchandise from Musical The Prince of Tennis 4th Season Seigaku vs. Shitenhoji, exclusive to Puroland, is also available. The merchandise is scheduled to go on sale from January 31, with details to be announced on the website.
Limited-Time Decorations Throughout the Venue
During the event period, colorful and uplifting photo spots appear throughout the venue. The entrance welcomes guests with colorful, pop decorations. A main visual photo spot also appears at the 3rd floor photo spot area, allowing guests to capture special photos.

Dessert menu highlights include "My Melody's All Pink Donuts and Strawberry Milk Pudding Healing Parfait," featuring smooth strawberry milk pudding and plenty of strawberries in an all-pink presentation, and "Pompompurin's Yellow Ribbon Fluffy Mini Pancake Tower," with a mini pancake tower and Pompompurin marshmallow as eye-catching elements.
