Container Culture Museum, located on the 1st floor of the Osaki Forest Building at 2-18-1 Higashi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, is holding a summer holiday event for elementary school students on Wednesday, August 5 and Thursday, August 6, 2026.
The event aims to share the appeal of containers and raise visitors' awareness of sustainability, marking its 12th run since it first began in 2012. Visitors can explore the museum through a quiz rally, plus craft and play activities using containers, to learn about containers in a fun, hands-on way. An SDGs workshop for upper-grade elementary school students, "See, Touch, Think: Containers and Sustainability," will also be held, where participants observe and handle containers to learn about their connection to the environment.
Visitors can try container craft activities, such as making a pen holder out of a glass bottle.

SDGs Workshop: "See, Touch, Think: Containers and Sustainability" (Advance Reservation Required)
The containers people use every day are designed with countless details that are considered all the way through to after their role is finished. This workshop invites participants to closely observe and handle containers while thinking about the importance of sustainability.
The content is also well-suited for a summer holiday independent research project.
