The Noh stage, registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property

The plan pairs a ticket to one of Otsuki Noh Theater's self-organized performances with a night at Cross Hotel Osaka, so guests can enjoy traditional culture and a comfortable hotel stay on the same trip. At the theater, guests can take their time watching Noh, an art form handed down through a long history.

After the performance, guests return to the hotel and can relax in meetlounge, the lounge exclusively for hotel guests, with snacks made with Kansai ingredients and a choice of beer, sake, or soft drinks. In the guest room, the spacious bathtub can be filled with hot water and bath salts to ease the fatigue of travel. The next morning, breakfast includes live kitchen dishes finished right in front of guests. The plan combines a cultural experience of Japanese traditional performing arts with a relaxing stay.

About Otsuki Noh Theater

Otsuki Noh Theater was founded in 1935 as a modern Noh theater that replaced the box seating common at the time with chair seating and introduced chandeliers and a restaurant. It escaped the ravages of war and has supported Noh and Kamigata culture in Osaka.

In 1983, the theater was completely rebuilt due to revisions to the Fire Service Act and other reasons, but the Noh stage from its founding was preserved and registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2014.

Since 1984, after the complete rebuilding, the theater has continued to hold the Otsuki Noh Theater self-organized Noh performances (大槻能楽堂自主公演能) as an "open Noh theater." It has experimented with regular scheduling and program content so that not only enthusiasts but also new audiences can casually enjoy Noh. That approach continues today, and the series reaches its 750th performance in 2026, with leading performers invited from across the country to present Noh from Osaka.
