Mala Tang Specialty Shop Fuen Opens First Gifu Prefecture Location in Gifu City

TPS Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Oita Prefecture; president Shion Tsukahara) is opening a new franchise location of its mala tang specialty shop, Fuen Mala Tang (pronounced "Fuen Mala Tang"), in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture, on July 25, 2026. The brand already has 35 locations confirmed nationwide and is growing quickly toward a goal of 100 stores, with this opening marking its first location in Gifu Prefecture. The shop lets customers build their own bowl using an original medicinal-herb-based broth.

A Bowl You Can Customize, Made With Care

The spice level of the broth can also be adjusted, so anyone from spice lovers to those who want to savor the medicinal-herb flavor slowly, as well as families, can enjoy a bowl tailored to their own taste.

About 50 Ingredients to Choose From

Inside the shop, about 50 ingredients are on offer, including fresh vegetables, meat, seafood, and fish cakes. Customers choose and combine their preferred ingredients themselves to create their own original bowl of mala tang. The shop takes an experience-driven approach, letting customers enjoy the process from selecting ingredients for their bowl through to the finished dish, so choosing and combining ingredients becomes part of the enjoyment alongside the meal itself.
