The Garigari-kun Rich series launched in 2006 and celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. As the first release commemorating this milestone, "Garigari-kun Rich White Choco Choco Choco Chip" debuts as the series' first-ever white chocolate flavor. This ice candy features white chocolate ice surrounding white chocolate shaved ice mixed with white chocolate chips. By incorporating the chocolate chips throughout the shaved ice portion, the product delivers enjoyment in both texture and flavor. The ice milk formulation allows enjoyment of the rich milk taste.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary first release, a campaign will run on Akagi Nyugyo's official X and Instagram accounts from Thursday, January 8 to Wednesday, January 14, 2026, offering 10 Garigari-kun Rich White Choco Choco Choco Chip bars to a total of 20 winners.
