The capsule toy specialty store gashacoco is set to open its 33rd franchise location, gashacoco Haruya Bookstore MEGA Hirata, in Matsuyama, Ehime on Friday, May 15, 2026. This will be the first gashacoco to open at a Haruya Bookstore location, and the first gashacoco in Matsuyama.

gashacoco Haruya Bookstore MEGA Hirata will be housed within approximately 30 tsubo of floor space inside Haruya Bookstore, one of the prefecture's best-stocked stores carrying books, magazines, stationery, miscellaneous goods, CDs, and DVDs. The space will feature capsule toy vending machines arranged as a dedicated capsule toy shop.
The store offers a wide selection of products, with new items added to the lineup every week, giving visitors the chance to find something they want — or something they never knew they wanted. The thrill of spinning a machine and not knowing what will come out of the capsule is at the heart of the gashacoco experience.

Opening Campaign
From May 15 (Friday) through May 17 (Sunday), an opening campaign will be held over three days. Customers who bring an exchange voucher distributed at and near the store will receive one complimentary spin on a selected capsule toy machine. The offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis and ends when supplies run out.
gashacoco, which operates under the concept "こころおどる、がここにある" ("the excitement of your heart, found right here"), currently runs 154 stores across Japan (as of March 2026), primarily in commercial facilities.
