About Girls Band Cry
Nina Iseri is a high school dropout who moves to Tokyo alone. There, she meets Momoka Kawaragi, Subaru Awa, Tomo Ebizuka, and Rupa, and together they form the band Togenashi Togeari. Their story of frustrating reality, clashing emotions, and their determination to keep moving forward drew passionate support, especially on social media, and became a weekly talking point after the TV anime began airing. The series' popularity grew rapidly, topping X (formerly Twitter) trends for seven consecutive weeks from episode 7 through the finale.
Cumulative shipments of the Blu-ray & DVD Vol. 1 have surpassed 23,000 copies. Building on this momentum, a compilation film re-edited from the TV series is finally coming to theaters.
