Artist Profile

GOSHOW

Calligrapher and contemporary artist.

Engaging sincerely with the context of art history, GOSHOW creates works utilizing his background, uniquely blended ink, and subtractive techniques (wiping, erasing, scraping). His work also reflects his aesthetic sense of "the coexistence of opposing dualities"—such as Japanese spirituality represented by "wabi-sabi," "black and white," "natural beauty and artificial beauty," and "analog and digital"—making these features characteristic of GOSHOW's art.

In recent years, GOSHOW has actively collaborated with companies, been featured in "Forbes JAPAN," and delivered works to Michelin-listed establishments, expanding his activities across borders. With numerous awards both domestically and internationally, he has received high acclaim from various quarters.

"I hope you can feel new possibilities in contemporary calligraphy. Through this exhibition, I wish for connections that transcend language and borders to be born."
