Grand Mercure Minamiboso Resort & Spa, a resort hotel located on Cape Taibusamizaki within Minamiboso Quasi-National Park in Chiba Prefecture, has expanded its family room offerings with two new room types. A projector-equipped room and a Japanese-style room accommodating up to 7 guests (including 2 co-sleeping) have been added to the lineup, with sales beginning in spring 2026. By combining extra beds and futons, families of up to 7 can stay together in one room, while the projector room makes it easy to enjoy movies and videos on a large screen together. Both room types are designed to be used without shoes, providing a safe and comfortable environment even for families with crawling infants. The resort also offers baby-friendly activities, lending amenities for infants, and children's dishes at the buffet restaurant.

The Family Superior Room can accommodate up to 4 beds by adding up to 2 extra beds. It is also fitted with an ultra-short-throw projector capable of displaying YouTube, movies, and other content on the wall in large format for an immersive viewing experience.

This certification is awarded to accommodations that meet independent standards (100 criteria total) evaluating both facilities and service quality for guests traveling with children. As of April 2026, the number of certified rooms increased from 2 to 4.

Grand Mercure Minamiboso Resort & Spa celebrated its 2nd anniversary on April 1, 2026. The buffet restaurant "Le Sensoriel" has introduced a new concept inspired by a "marché" (market), rolling out new signature menu items that highlight the joy of discovery, the excitement of a live kitchen, and the freshness of local ingredients.

The updated menu also reflects greater attention to dietary diversity, with an expanded range of vegetarian options and a strengthened kids menu.
