Hakkaisan Brewery Co., Ltd. (Minami-Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture), an official MLB sponsor in Japan, is releasing limited-edition products featuring Major League Baseball team logos. The "Tokubetsu Honjozo Hakkaisan MLB Collection Label" cans and the "Tokubetsu Honjozo Hakkaisan MLB 30 Team Collection Set" will go on sale across Japan starting April 15, 2026 (Wednesday).
The products were developed with the goal of making Japanese sake more approachable for MLB fans and baseball fans, inviting a wider audience to enjoy sake while watching games or during everyday meals.
Limited-Edition MLB Team Cans — Hakkaisan's First Aluminum Can Format for Domestic Sales
The Tokubetsu Honjozo Hakkaisan is one of the brewery's signature sakes, known for its easy-drinking quality, soft mouthfeel, and clean, light flavor that can be enjoyed both chilled and warmed. For the "Tokubetsu Honjozo Hakkaisan MLB Collection Label," Hakkaisan is using aluminum can packaging for the first time in domestic sales. The can design features the logos of all 30 MLB teams.
Additionally, each can includes one sticker from a selection of 10 teams that have active Japanese players: the Dodgers, Padres, Red Sox, Mets, Cubs, Angels, Rockies, White Sox, Blue Jays, and Astros. The sticker is packaged inside the lid.
