Hotel Hatsuhana, a small luxury hotel in Hakone's Oku-Yumoto area, is offering three season-limited programs in summer 2026 under the concept "Enjoy the refreshing nature of Hakone with all five senses." Set against the deep-green scenery of Yusaka Mountain, the hotel invites guests to experience an unhurried summer stay that engages all the senses.
Pairing Dinner: Hirakawa Winery Collaboration 2026

Following last year's well-received collaboration, Hotel Hatsuhana is bringing back its wine pairing dinner plan featuring wines from Hirakawa Winery. The summer 2026 lineup pairs the hotel's modern kaiseki cuisine with six wines personally selected by Hirakawa Winery owner Atsuo Hirakawa to complement each course. The selection includes the 2023 Clémence Blanc Méthode Traditionnelle and five other labels, all produced in Yoichi-cho, Hokkaido. The pairing is designed to highlight the presentation, aroma, and depth of flavor in both the food and wine.

Season-Limited Relaxation: "Summer One-Night Toji"

The hotel's relaxation salon Mahoromi is offering a summer-exclusive treatment menu inspired by the Eastern concept of "Five Elements Wellness" (Gogyō Yōjō). Using summer-specific invigorating aromas, the treatment works to improve energy circulation while targeting the deep-seated fatigue that accumulates in the humid summer heat. A cooling facial sheet helps refresh the body and mind from excess heat caused by summer sun exposure. After the session, guests receive hibiscus tea to hydrate and restore inner balance.
Mahoromi's signature approach, called "Toji Therapy," involves bathing in the hotel's hot springs both before and after the treatment, aiming to bring the body to a deeply restored state within a single night. The experience can be further enhanced by spending time in the in-room private outdoor bath or the reservable private baths, where guests can take in the cool mountain breezes and sounds of rustling foliage in Hakone's lush surroundings.

| Period | June 1 – August 31, 2026 |
| Hours | 3:30 PM–11:00 PM |
| Prices | 90-minute course: ¥30,000 (tax included) / 120-minute course: ¥36,000 (tax included) |
Cool Hot Spring: Indifferent-Temperature Baths in Summer

During July and August 2026, the indoor bath of the "Yamanohana" communal bath (2nd floor of the hot spring wing) and the reclining bath of "Takenoha" (1st floor) will be set to an indifferent temperature—approximately 36°C, close to body temperature. Soaking at this temperature is expected to help reset the autonomic nervous system, which can become disrupted during summer as the body repeatedly adjusts between intense outdoor heat and air-conditioned indoor spaces.
The hotel's onsen draws from its own spring source, widely recognized as a "bijin-no-yu" (beauty water) hot spring with a soft, silky texture. The cool-temperature soaking option—referred to as the "Chilled Onsen"—was first introduced in summer 2024 and has been well received, allowing guests to enjoy extended soaks even in the peak of summer heat without the risk of overheating.
