Hotel Amaneku Hida Takayama Partners with Local High School Students for Live Japanese Instrument Mini Concerts and Experience Sessions

Hotel Amaneku Hida Takayama (operated by Amaneku Co., Ltd., Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Yoshifumi Adachi) is hosting "Japanese Instrument Mini Concerts and Experience Sessions" in collaboration with traditional instrument clubs at Gifu Prefectural Hida Takayama High School. The events will take place in the hotel's 2nd floor lounge as part of the "Amaneku Academy" project, which provides regional culture and learning opportunities.

The events will feature a koto concert on January 17, 2026 (Saturday), bringing elegant New Year tunes, and a taiko drum concert on February 8 (Sunday), celebrating the arrival of spring with energetic rhythms. Guests from Japan and abroad will have the opportunity to experience traditional Japanese sounds performed by local high school students up close, creating memorable moments that connect them with the local community.

Project Background: Hotel and High School Students Unite for Cultural Exchange

This collaboration was realized when the aspirations of Amaneku Hida Takayama, which positions itself as a "community revitalization hotel" that incorporates local attractions to serve as a hub for Gifu tourism, aligned with the wishes of the koto and taiko clubs at Hida Takayama High School to "share traditional instruments with more people."

Hida Takayama still retains a strong presence of Japanese culture, and guests visiting Amaneku Hida Takayama, particularly those from overseas, show significant interest in cultural experiences. As part of the "Amaneku Academy" project that provides regional culture and learning opportunities, the hotel has partnered with local high school students who continue to preserve and promote culture, creating opportunities to interact with traditional Japanese instruments.

The hotel aims to develop this event as a venue for Japanese cultural exchange featuring local young people as the main performers.
