Paris-Based Bag Brand JACK GOMME Launches Limited Collaboration with Artist Marianna Ladreyt

A limited collaboration collection from Paris-based bag brand JACK GOMME and Paris-based designer and artist Marianna Ladreyt is set to launch on Friday, May 22, 2026. The collection reimagines two of JACK GOMME's signature bags — the LIRIS and the KANGOUROU — through Ladreyt's distinctive color sensibility and freeform approach to shape. Made using upcycled buoy materials and leftover stock fabrics from the brand, the pieces bring together sustainability and artistic expression in an everyday bag format.

A Collaboration Born from the Hyères International Fashion Festival

This collection traces its origins to the Festival International de Mode, de Photographie et d'Accessoires de Hyères — an international design festival held annually in Hyères, France. Founded in 1986, the festival is known as a launchpad for young fashion designers, photographers, and accessories designers from around the world, having launched the careers of creators such as Anthony Vaccarello and Viktor&Rolf.

It was there that JACK GOMME founders Sophie and Paul first encountered Marianna Ladreyt. Her bold use of color, unexpected forms, and free approach to reworking materials immediately resonated with them. The resulting collaboration brings together JACK GOMME's functional design philosophy and Ladreyt's experimental artistic sensibility in a collection that feels both practical and distinctly playful.

Iconic Bags Reimagined Through an Upcycling Lens

The two base models chosen for the collection — the LIRIS and the KANGOUROU — are both longstanding staples of the JACK GOMME lineup. Marianna Ladreyt's bold colorwork and unconventional material combinations give these familiar silhouettes a fresh perspective. The KANGOUROU, a brand icon since 1995, has been updated with a transparent front panel evoking the look of a ship's porthole, creating an unexpected structural depth and visual lightness. A small fish mascot named "AKAMAS" also joins the collection, appearing as a charm-like accessory that captures the playful spirit running through every piece.

All items use upcycled buoy materials and stock fabrics held by the brand. Different materials and colors are combined in ways that incorporate an element of chance, meaning no two pieces are exactly alike. The outcome is a collection that carries the presence of art pieces while remaining entirely suited to daily use.
