JUNGLIA OKINAWA, the theme park located in the Yanbaru region of northern Okinawa, is ringing in its first anniversary with a major expansion of water-based entertainment. Starting July 18, 2026 (Saturday), a range of new splash experiences will appear throughout the park under the banner "SUMMER SPLASH ADVENTURE," running through October 12, 2026 (Monday, national holiday). This comes in response to guest feedback calling for a cooler, more exhilarating Okinawa summer.
New Splash Experiences — Four Limited-Time Additions
In addition to the ongoing "JUNGLIA Splash Fes" and the newly introduced "Cool Down Water Party," four new splash experiences are joining the lineup this season.
Water Ranger
A "special cooling squad" equipped with unique gadgets roams the park and greets guests with powerful bursts of water from water shooters — soaking visitors from head to toe and switching them into full summer mode. This entertainment experience operates throughout the park at various times.
Squall Dance
When the music begins, performers and guests dance together in an original show celebrating the gift of water from nature. As the dance reaches its peak, enormous columns of water shoot high into the air, showering the audience in mist that evokes a tropical downpour. This show runs every hour at designated show areas.
Mist Area
A calming oasis offering a different kind of refreshment from the high-energy splash experiences. Near the Wild Banquet area, ultra-fine mist fills the space around a large banyan tree, evoking the morning mist of Yanbaru's ancient forest. This area operates all day, offering a luxurious cool-down experience for guests.
Water Shooter Target
A fun activity spot where guests aim water shooters (water guns) at colorful targets. A direct hit triggers a sound from the target, making it irresistible to try again. Both adults and children can enjoy this refreshing water activity between attractions. Located near "Finding Dinosaurs."

A pop-colored water shooter in JUNGLIA OKINAWA's signature style, suitable for the beach or outdoor leisure. The manual pump provides plenty of power and distance — a summer must-have for all ages.
Two Signature Splash Shows Running Daily
JUNGLIA OKINAWA also stages two high-energy splash shows daily, where entertainers and guests get drenched together.
Cool Down Water Party (left photo)
Set to upbeat music, water guns, water cannons, and even buckets of water fly through the air in time with the dance. Guests can join entertainers on stage for a soaking, high-energy party finale.
JUNGLIA Splash Fes (right photo)
The park's largest show, held at the "Breeze Arena." A high-energy festival kicking off with Okinawan beats. The refreshing water performances remain, while the music and dance have been upgraded to celebrate Okinawa's unique culture.
Comprehensive Heat Countermeasures
JUNGLIA OKINAWA has been systematically rolling out heat countermeasures with the goal of keeping guests comfortable throughout the summer. New rest spaces (264 seats) have been added to Breeze Arena, shaded seating (144 seats) has been installed at Wild Banquet, large mist fans have been deployed throughout the park, and benches and parasols have been increased by approximately 40% compared to last year.
New Anniversary Experiences
Responding to feedback from guests who wanted the entire park — not just attractions — to be full of exciting experiences, three new content offerings are being added for the first anniversary.
1. First Anniversary "Minsar Bracelet" for All Visitors
Guests visiting during the anniversary period will receive a limited-edition bracelet (paper) featuring the traditional Okinawan "Minsar" (ミンサー) weave pattern. The Minsar pattern carries the meaning "forever and always," reflecting JUNGLIA OKINAWA's deep gratitude and hope to continue building lasting connections with each and every guest. The bracelet color changes by day.

2. "やんばるフレンズ Jan's Talking Quiz Rally" — An Adventure with a Talking Jan!
A family-friendly rally experience where guests search the park for the やんばるフレンズ characters along with "Jan," the Okinawa Rail (Yanbaru Kuina) character. Carry the "Jan" plush toy around the park and hold it up to the character panels at each spot — Jan will talk and ask a quiz question! Complete 7 quizzes to unlock a special prize. A leisurely exploration experience suitable for children at their own pace.

3. First Anniversary Photo Spots Appearing Throughout the Park
Anniversary photo spots are popping up across the park to make exploring even more enjoyable. Near the "やんばるフレンズ" area, look for adorable footprints left by the energetic Jan character. In the "Dinosaur Safari" area, giant dinosaur footprints stretching about 2.5 meters make for dramatic photo opportunities. Near "Wild Banquet," a large, colorful wall art mural captures the essence of JUNGLIA OKINAWA — a perfect spot for memorable photos with family and friends.
Growing Together with Okinawa
Under the theme "With the people of Okinawa, toward the next JUNGLIA," the park is continuing to evolve by listening to real feedback from guests and becoming an increasingly beloved destination. New experiences and collaborations with local Okinawan businesses are set to roll out in the coming months.
Okinawa-born popular comedian Gori of the comedy duo ガレッジセール has been appointed as "Gori Support Captain" — a partner who will closely observe the park from the perspective of guests and locals, honestly assessing whether heat countermeasures are sufficient, whether the park is family-friendly, and whether it delivers a truly Okinawan experience.
