KidZania Tokyo Introduces Temporary "Clinic" Pavilion Where Children Can Experience Working as Obstetricians
Children Can Experience Ultrasound Examinations and Vaccinations, Raising Awareness About Health
Event Period: February 20 (Fri) to March 12 (Thu), 2026

The Japan Medical Association (Location: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiro Matsumoto) and KCJ GROUP Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Michinari Entsuya), which operates the children's occupational and social experience facility "KidZania," will open a limited-time "Clinic" pavilion (hereafter referred to as "the pavilion") at KidZania Tokyo (Koto-ku, Tokyo) from February 20 (Fri) to March 12 (Thu), 2026. This marks the third time such a pavilion has been offered, following the "Clinical Doctor" experience in October 2023 and the "Pediatrician" experience in February 2025. This time, children will have the opportunity to experience working as an "Obstetrician."
At the pavilion, children will take on the role of "Obstetrician," learning about the job's responsibilities before conducting training on ultrasound examinations and vaccinations using medical models. During ultrasound examinations, they will check whether the fetus is developing properly. In the vaccination training, they will examine whether a pregnant woman can receive a vaccine and then administer the vaccination.
Additionally, during the event period, there will be a quiz rally about newborns and a limited activity at the "Job Counseling Center" pavilion introducing the "Clinic."
With the scheduled implementation of routine RSV virus vaccination for pregnant women starting in April 2026 (※), interest in "maternal immunity," which transfers immunity to the fetus through the mother's body, is increasing.
The Japan Medical Association and KCJ GROUP hope that through this pavilion experience, children will deepen their understanding of pregnant women and fetuses, develop an interest in the medical profession, and gain an opportunity to learn about the meaning of medical procedures and the significance of vaccinations, thereby raising their health awareness.
