Hankyu Umeda Honten's 11th-floor kimono section (Promotion Space 112) is hosting a limited showcase of silk denim womenswear from KIMONO Terrasse (キモノテラッセ), running from July 1 (Wednesday) to July 7 (Tuesday), 2026. The collection features pieces made from Okayama-produced silk denim — a fabric that blends the elegance of silk with the casual durability of denim — and includes both a custom-order kimono and a pre-tied obi.
Custom-Order Silk Denim Kimono

The KIMONO Terrasse silk denim kimono (cotton 65%, silk 35%) is priced at ¥231,000 and comes in deep blue (蒼色) as well as charcoal × smoked (墨色×燻色). Produced in Okayama — Japan's leading denim region — the fabric offers a refined, smooth feel that sets it apart from conventional denim.
The piece is made to order: customers select a solid-color kimono base and choose where to add original patterns, resulting in a one-of-a-kind garment. Despite containing silk, the fabric can be hand-washed at home, making it practical for everyday wear. Orders placed during the event are expected to be ready by mid-October.
Pre-tied Obi "Wa no Hane"

The KIMONO Terrasse pre-tied decorative obi, "Wa no Hane" (和の羽), is priced at ¥99,000. Available in a smoked (燻色) color, it accommodates a waist circumference of 70 to 85 cm. The obi uses velcro and ties to secure a snug fit, while still achieving the relaxed, natural look of a hand-tied obi. Custom sizing and kaku obi options are also available.
