Kokuyo's premium writing instrument brand KOKUYO WP is adding four new colors to its lineup in spring 2026. Two collections — the "KOKUYO WP Limited Color 2026" and the "KOKUYO WP Store Exclusive" — go on general sale on April 17, 2026, with a preview release at the KOKUYODOORS store beginning April 10.
KOKUYO WP launched in 2023 as a line dedicated to making writing a richer, more refined experience. Each pen is characterized by a light, effortless writing feel and expressive line quality.
KOKUYO WP Limited Color 2026
The Limited Color 2026 collection features a matte, anodized finish in two colors, each evoking the quiet emergence of ideas — mirroring how thoughts begin to take shape on a blank page.
DAWN'S STILLNESS
This color captures the moment when light enters deep thought and new insights gently begin to spread — likened to the calm of dawn.
ROSE BUD
Inspired by a rosebud on the verge of opening, this color represents a small but certain idea quietly unfolding within the writer's mind.
KOKUYO WP Store Exclusive
The Store Exclusive collection features a gradient finish running from the cap tip to the body, capturing two distinct moments in the creative process. These will be available at select stores only.
NIGHTFALL
This color represents the moment when thoughts turn inward and deepen — expressed through the imagery of dusk settling into night.
GREENERY
Capturing the vitality of new ideas taking root and growing freely, this gradient brings to mind the fresh burst of young leaves in spring.
Product Details
All four variants come fitted with a Fine Writer refill in blue-black ink. KOKUYO WP also offers a Rollerball refill option for a smooth, low-viscosity writing experience — though the 2026 limited releases exclusively feature the Fine Writer type.
