
From January 21st (Wednesday) to February 3rd (Tuesday), the "Kumamoto Mon x Tokyo Ginza Jack" festival brings together the finest foods, local sake, and cultural treasures from Kumamoto, known as the "Food Capital." This citywide celebration spans various commercial facilities and restaurants throughout the Ginza area, creating a comprehensive showcase of Kumamoto's culinary excellence.
Matsuya Ginza, as part of this major event and marking the first collaboration since signing a comprehensive partnership agreement, will host a special fair from January 21st (Wednesday) to 27th (Tuesday), featuring a wide array of dishes made with abundant Kumamoto ingredients, along with local sake including Kuma shochu and craft beer. Additionally, all 11 showcase windows throughout the store will feature traditional crafts "Kurammin Uchiwa" (hand fans) and "Mizunodaira-yaki" (pottery).

The "Local Sake Fair" takes place in the B1F wine and spirits section, with sake also served at Shimogamo Saryo on B1F and two restaurants on the 8th floor.

Matsuya Co., Ltd. launched the "Matsuya's Regional Co-creation" initiative in 2020. They promote regional attractions and work with local governments on regional revitalization. About Kurammin Uchiwa

A traditional craft from Yamaga City continuing since the Edo period. Durable and practical, these fans are also cherished as lucky charms as "Kurammin" translates to "people coming." This time, featuring the "Higo Rokka" (six flowers) theme symbolizing the spirit and aesthetics of Kumamoto warriors, six types of flowers are vividly designed on each fan.

About Mizunodaira-yaki

A traditional craft from Amakusa City, "Amakusa Ceramics," continuing since the Edo period. The greatest characteristic is the unique "Namako-yu" (sea cucumber glaze) with its complex, deep flavor, created by layering iron glaze and rice straw ash glaze and firing them together.
