La Jyho Terrace (ラジョウ テラス), located within the All Day Dining La Jyho at Kyoto Century Hotel, is hosting a limited-time summer sweets buffet called "The Royal Lounge: Sweet Symphony" (ザ ロイヤルラウンジ ～スイート シンフォニー～). The event runs from Saturday, June 13 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, with fully advance reservations required.
This is the second installment of The Royal Lounge series, which features a "full-service" format where staff deliver all items — sweets, savory dishes, and drinks alike — directly to each guest's seat via wagon service. The summer lineup revolves around seasonal fruits including melon, mango, and peach, with a vibrant array of 14 desserts that offer fresh and refreshing flavors even on hot days.
Welcome Dessert: Melon Shortcake
Upon being seated, each guest is presented with a special welcome dessert: a shortcake where the melon itself serves as the vessel. Fluffy sponge and smooth cream are layered with melon, strawberry, and orange, creating a beautiful cross-section.
Guests with allergies are asked to notify the restaurant at the time of booking; an alternative shortcake using different fruits can be arranged.
Wagon Desserts and Savories
With staff bringing everything to the table, guests can enjoy their time without interruption. The 14-dessert wagon selection includes White Peach Roll Cake and Melon Mousse — both designed to taste light even in the heat — along with Shortcake topped with orange, Fruit Jelly, and other seasonal creations. Six flavors of ice cream are also available, alongside savory items such as Meat Pie and Baguette Pizza. Free-flow beverages round out the experience.
