Lolita Swimwear Brand Mermaid Closet Opens Limited-Time Pop-Up at Laforet Harajuku

Mermaid Closet, a swimwear brand catering to lolita fashion enthusiasts, will hold a limited-time pop-up shop at Laforet Harajuku as part of the "Ai to Kyouki no Market - 'LOVE & MADNESS' MARKET" event running from July 1 (Wednesday) to July 31 (Friday), 2026.

The brand has primarily sold its products through its online store, and customers have often expressed a desire to try items on and check sizing in person. This pop-up offers a rare opportunity to experience the brand's world directly — handling the actual products, trying them on, and getting a feel for the silhouette, fit, and fabric texture that photos alone cannot convey.

The Laforet Grand Bazar, one of Laforet Harajuku's signature events, will also take place during the pop-up period, drawing a large number of lolita fashion enthusiasts to the venue.

Mermaid Closet also receives orders from customers overseas, and the brand welcomes the chance to reach more visitors — both domestic and international — at Laforet Harajuku.
