Metsä, operated by Moomin Monogatari Co., Ltd. (President: Kiyoshi Mochizuki), has been holding two fireworks events this summer: "Metsä's Nordic Fireworks" at Metsä Village and "Moominvalley Lake Fireworks" at Moominvalley Park. Starting Saturday, July 25, 2026, Metsä Village is adding a new event, "Hand-Held Fireworks at Metsä," letting visitors set off hand-held fireworks amid a forest-and-lake setting that evokes the Nordic countryside.
With family fireworks nights becoming harder to find, especially in urban areas, Metsä Village is setting up a hand-held fireworks area in the plaza in front of its Market Hall so that a day spent at Metsä Village and Moominvalley Park can become a cherished summer memory for families. Moi Saitama, a shop inside Metsä Village, sells hand-held fireworks sets, so visitors can take part even if they arrive empty-handed. Metsä Village and Moominvalley Park, which also hold "Metsä's Nordic Fireworks" and "Moominvalley Lake Fireworks," welcome visitors this summer.
