Evolution of the World's Smallest Umbrella
Moonbat released the "Miracle Tech" as a world-class compact umbrella in February 2024. Born from the concept of "creating the world's smallest foldable umbrella," the development took approximately two years. By adding one additional joint from the main rib to the tip rib compared to standard compact umbrellas (registered as Utility Model No. 3243958), they achieved a storage size of "approximately 11.7cm"—a truly miraculous compact umbrella. Since its launch, it has gained support as "the ultimate space-saving umbrella" thanks to its portability, fitting easily into small bags or pockets. With increasing weather variability and sudden rain, the peace of mind of carrying an umbrella in your bag has also been appreciated.
This year sees the arrival of the "Miracle Tech Protection," a sun and rain dual-purpose umbrella that maintains the approximately 11.7cm compact size while adding 100% sun protection and 100% UV blocking functionality. The model has evolved to address both heat and UV protection needs. It will be exhibited at the Tokyo International Gift Show, Japan's largest international trade fair for personal gifts and lifestyle goods, to be held at Tokyo Big Sight for three days starting February 4, 2026.

The defining characteristic of the "Miracle Tech Series" is its compact size. With a uniquely developed rib structure, it achieves miraculous dimensions. The manual opening type measures approximately 11.7cm when stored, while the automatic opening and closing type measures approximately 19.2cm—truly palm-sized. This is a world-class 6-fold compact sun umbrella that realizes such compactness you'll forget it's an umbrella.
100% Sun Protection & 100% UV Blocking
The unique multi-layer coating applied to 15-denier polyester achieves both lightweight design and high functionality.
Test methods: Heat shielding effect: JIS L 1951 / Sun protection rate: JIS L 1055 A method / UV blocking rate & UPF value: JIS L 1925. The stated values are measurements of the fabric condition and do not represent the entire umbrella's performance.
Rain-Proof with Water Repellency and High Waterproof Performance
Surface water-repellent treatment and interior multi-layer coating achieve waterproofing with a water pressure resistance of over 10,000mm.
Heat Shielding Effect
In umbrella product heat shielding evaluation tests, a temperature difference of 32.5°C was observed.
Thermography tests showed temperature differences of -14.4°C at the crown of the head and -4.0°C at the right shoulder.
