Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum in Tokyo's Marunouchi district is opening its doors to wedding photography for the first time, through a new collaboration with Ants Wedding. The plan comes after 里見憲智, who leads Ants Wedding, built a relationship of trust with the museum through years of wedding photography work at Yokohama Royal Park Hotel, part of the same Mitsubishi Estate group.
A New Wedding Photo Plan Inside a Historic Building
Following this collaboration, Ants Wedding has begun offering its "Museum Official Wedding Photo Plan," set inside Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum. This marks the first time the museum has officially permitted its interior to be used as a location for photo shoots.
The plan allows couples to book the museum's shared indoor spaces (*) on an exclusive basis, creating a private setting for their photos. Shoots inside Café 1894 are also available, limited to the morning hours. Couples can capture a special moment together amid the atmosphere of the museum's historic architecture.
*Photography is not permitted inside the exhibition rooms. Shoots at Café 1894 are available in the morning only.

About Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum

Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum opened in Tokyo's Marunouchi district in 2010, a five-minute walk from JR Tokyo Station. The museum holds three special exhibitions a year centered on modern art from the late 19th to early 20th century, along with smaller exhibitions drawing on its own collection and curators' particular interests, held alongside the main exhibitions three times a year.
The museum's red-brick building is a reconstruction of the original "Mitsubishi Ichigokan," designed by Josiah Conder and built by Mitsubishi in 1894.
Café 1894

Located on the museum's first floor, Café 1894 recreates a space that once served as a bank office in the Meiji era (1894). The museum café and bar is known for its classic atmosphere and high, double-height ceiling.
