Nijigen no Mori, the anime theme park set within Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Island Park, is holding a summer splash event series from July 10 (Friday) to September 30 (Wednesday), 2026. All four of the park's regular attractions are participating, each offering a water-soaked experience themed to a popular anime, film, or game franchise.
Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park: Summer Splash Events
Two separate splash events are taking place at the Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park's athletics area, inspired by the film Crayon Shin-chan: Storm Called — Glorious! The Battle of the Warring States.
"200% Extra — Difficulty MAX! The Ultimate Refreshing Challenge!" (Intermediate to Advanced / Elementary School Age and Above)
Throughout the event period, large water cannons are set up along the course, and staff conduct random water sprays at unpredictable intervals. Mist systems built into the athletics course add further soakings, pushing the difficulty to its maximum. Participants who complete the challenge receive an original Nijigen no Mori certificate.
- Eligible participants: Height 120 cm or taller, weight 25 kg or more and under 110 kg
- Participation fee: Free (separate area entry ticket required)

"Protect the Poi! Dripping Wet Water Battle!" (Beginner Course / Preschool Children Under 120 cm or Under 25 kg)
Held twice daily at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM (approximately 15 minutes per session), this team competition divides participants by lottery into two groups. Each team tries to protect the "poi" target attached to their head while aiming water guns at the opposing team's poi. Winners receive a victory sticker; participants on the losing team receive a participation sticker.
- Schedule: Twice daily — 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM; approximately 15 minutes per session
- Participation fee: Free (separate area entry ticket required)

Event Period: July 10 (Friday) – September 30 (Wednesday), 2026
Location: Athletics area, Crayon Shin-chan Adventure Park, 2425-2 Kusumoto, Awaji City, Hyogo Prefecture (within Nijigen no Mori)

NARUTO & BORUTO Shinobizato: "Grand Summer Suiton Festival 2026 — Activate the Water Dragon Bullet Jutsu!"

Every day at 3:00 PM throughout the event period, a special ninjutsu experience takes place in the area in front of Hokage Rock at NARUTO & BORUTO Shinobizato. Village staff teach participants the hand seals for the "Water Dragon Bullet Jutsu" — a high-difficulty technique requiring 44 hand seals, as performed by Zabuza Momochi and Kakashi Hatake in the anime.
When all participants gathered successfully complete every hand seal, approximately 50 liters of water erupts all at once. The experience recreates the feeling of those iconic scenes in a full-body, real-life ninjutsu format. All participants receive an original new "Suiton Sticker" from Shinobizato.
Participants should gather at the "Hokage Rock" location inside the attraction area by 3:00 PM. Note that changing facilities are not available inside the park, and water may splash outside the event area.

Event Period: July 10 (Friday) – September 30 (Wednesday), 2026
Time: 3:00 PM daily
Participation fee: Free (separate entry ticket required)

Godzilla Interception Operation: "Splash Godzilla 2026"

A "Soaked SNS Video Campaign" runs alongside the zipline. Participants who post a video of themselves drenched from the ride on Instagram or TikTok — using both the hashtags #ニジゲンノモリ and #ゴジラ迎撃作戦 — and show the screen to staff will receive a limited original merchandise item from the Godzilla Interception Operation.

Dragon Quest Island: "Master It! The Mahyado Mastery Trial"

Building on the previous year's event — in which adventurers completed the "1,000 Hyado Challenges" — this year's trial unlocks the higher-level ice spell "Mahyado." The event is open to all visitors who have entered Dragon Quest Island.
Participants shout "Hyado!" aloud to receive a burst of cold mist, then explore the area collecting training stamps from scrolls and "Magic Water" hidden around the zone. After gathering all the stamps, adventurers unlock the powerful "Mahyado" spell, triggering a large discharge of cooling mist and dramatic production effects that recreate the feel of casting a spell in the Dragon Quest world.

Event Period: July 10 (Friday) – September 30 (Wednesday), 2026
Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Eligible participants: Visitors who have entered "Dragon Quest Island: The Ancient Demon God and the Guided Adventurers"
Participation fee: Free (separate area entry ticket required)
