The sales department gathered feedback from stores requesting "versatile red/pink dry toppings" and collaborated with the development team to commercialize the product. They selected Petit Wafer for its "light texture" that works well with both drinks and soft serve. The heart-shaped Petit Wafer with pale pink color and subtle strawberry flavor is a unique item from Nissei. The company positions this as a new standard topping that's easy to use for both cone cups and cup-served menus.

The biggest challenge was reproducing a "pale, beautiful pink color." The team conducted repeated trial production with actual equipment, meticulously adjusting baking conditions and formulation. They suppressed the intensity of baking color to achieve the desired "gentle pink" appearance.
