Ron Herman (ロンハーマン), the California-born specialty store, opens its Takashimaya Gate Tower Mall store (ロンハーマン タカシマヤ ゲートタワーモール店) in Nagoya on Friday, November 13, 2026. To mark the opening, the store will carry two collaboration bags made with pionunnal (ピオヌンナル), a brand known for bags made from nubi (ヌビ), a traditional Korean fabric. It is the first collaboration between the two.
Two Models, Including pionunnal's Newest Design
Nubi is a traditional Korean fabric that has long been used for bedding and everyday household textiles. pionunnal focuses on its sturdiness, ease of washing and light feel, and makes nubi bags that are sewn by Japanese artisans and designed to suit styles from casual to polished.
The brand name means "a rainy day" in Korean and carries the wish that "even a rainy day will be a wonderful day." That wish matches Ron Herman's belief, "人生すべて、いい日になれ" ("may every day of life be a good day"), which led to this collaboration.
The collaboration lineup consists of "GARDEN Large," a new size of pionunnal's signature original bag "GARDEN," and "MOVE," a popular compact model with plenty of storage. Both carry the store logo embroidery that Ron Herman values, and the inner pocket features a special double-name design, created from the design used when Ron Herman was founded, as a gesture of affection for whoever picks up the bag.

"GARDEN Large" is a new, larger size of the popular GARDEN, making its first appearance through this collaboration. The bigger size makes it a bag for more active use, such as travel or trips to the beach. Like the GARDEN, it has two handles of different lengths, so it can be shared with a partner or family member. Two deep pockets inside keep easily lost items such as a wallet and a smartphone separate from the rest of the bag's contents. Dark navy is introduced as a new color.

"MOVE" looks compact but offers a practical amount of storage. Sales Details
- The bags are sold only at the Ron Herman Takashimaya Gate Tower Mall store. They are not sold by pionunnal.
- Quantities are limited.
- On the three days of Friday, November 13, Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15, entry tickets (入店整理券) and purchase exchange tickets (購入引換券) will be distributed before the store opens.
- The distribution times and locations for these tickets and other details are announced on the Ron Herman official website on Monday, November 2.
- Each customer may buy up to 2 items per model and color, for a maximum of 14 items in total.
