A new eco bag featuring Piyorin and Hiyori — the beloved chick-shaped sweet and its patissier character — is going on sale at the Piyorin MARKET online shop from May 16, 2026 (Saturday) at 10:00 AM. Designed for everyday shopping and outings, the bag folds down to a pocket-friendly size when not in use.

The tote is printed all over with illustrations of both Piyorin and Hiyori. It comes with a wide gusset that provides plenty of capacity for grocery runs — and is also a handy way to carry a takeaway Piyorin.

When folded, it measures approximately 12 cm × 6 cm, making it easy to slip into a regular handbag. The bag uses lightweight, water-resistant PET material, making it practical for everyday use.

What Is Piyorin?

Piyorin is a fresh sweet made using eggs from Nagoya Cochin, a local breed from Aichi Prefecture, as the pudding base. The pudding is wrapped in vanilla-scented Bavarian cream and covered in powdered sponge to create a fluffy chick shape. It is sold at stores inside Nagoya Station and at a production workshop store in Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture.

In July 2026, Piyorin celebrates its 15th anniversary since debut.

Who Is Hiyori?

Hiyori is the patissier character who watches over Piyorin. Each day, Hiyori crafts Piyorin with care for customers and works alongside Piyorin to share the charm of this delicate sweet with more people.

In June 2026, a new store called "Piyorin Village" is scheduled to open at the Central Concourse of Nagoya Station.
