Sanyoso, a hot spring resort in Izunagaoka (located in Izu no Kuni City, Shizuoka Prefecture), will hold a special one-day cultural event called "Spring Garden Concert" on March 8, 2026, in its Japanese garden.

Originally built in 1929 as a villa for Hisaya Iwasaki, the eldest son of Yataro Iwasaki, founder of the Mitsubishi zaibatsu, the main building of Sanyoso is now designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property. The expansive Japanese garden and sukiya-style architecture create beautiful seasonal landscapes that have captivated visitors year-round.

Set against the backdrop of the garden, with budding trees and soft spring light, guests will enjoy the powerful performances of taiko drums and the elegant sounds of the koto, each showcased in their unique settings. Additionally, tea ceremony stations will be set up throughout the garden, offering quiet moments to savor spring between performances. At this place where nature and Japanese culture harmonize, guests can enjoy a relaxing time away from daily life. Experience this garden concert, where you can encounter the breath of spring and the beauty of Japanese tradition found only here.
