The basement food hall (Depa-chika) of the Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store is currently holding a "Sakura Mochi Festival" in its Sweets & Gift section. A total of 19 types of sakura mochi from 13 shops have been gathered, presenting both the Kanto-style "Chomeiji"—delicate wheat-flour crepes wrapped around sweet bean paste—and the Kansai-style "Domyoji"—known for its satisfying chewy texture made from domyoji rice flour. The lineup spans a wide range of flavors and textures to explore.
