About Sennariya Coffee
Founded in Showa 23 (1948) in Osaka's Shinsekai "Janjan Yokocho," Sennariya Coffee began as a fruit shop. The founder, Tsunekawa Ichiro, created what would become the original mixed juice by blending ripe fruits with a unique recipe at the storefront. The drink quickly gained popularity among discerning local customers who praised it as "delicious!" In Showa 35 (1960), the business transformed into a café, and the mixed juice became one of its two signature menu items alongside "cold coffee" (iced coffee). Today, Sennariya Coffee is still cherished as "the birthplace of mixed juice."
