Shimoda Prince Hotel Offers Winter Stay Plan Featuring Narcissus Festival and Stone-Grilled Barrel Hotpot

A Carpet of 3 Million White Blooms at the Cape – Tsumekizaki Wrapped in Sweet Fragrance

Shimoda Prince Hotel (Location: 1547-1 Shirahama, Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, General Manager: Toshihito Shirai) is offering a limited-time winter accommodation plan titled "White Blossoms and Rising Steam: A Winter Tale of Narcissus and Stone-Grilled Barrel Hotpot" to coincide with Shimoda City's annual Tsumekizaki Narcissus Festival held from December to January.

Period: December 20, 2025 (Saturday) - January 31, 2026 (Saturday)

At Tsumekizaki, 3 million wild narcissus bloom each winter, filling the air with their sweet fragrance and creating a stunning "winter landscape" where white flowers meet the azure sea. The venue hosts various welcoming events for visitors, including nature walking tours led by geo-guides, servings of local specialty "Ikenda Nimiso" (fisherman's hotpot), and stamp rallies, making it a beloved winter tradition in Izu that attracts many tourists each year.

The hotel's limited-time plan takes advantage of its convenient location, approximately 15 minutes from the narcissus festival venue, with shuttle bus service provided. The package proposes a uniquely winter experience where guests enjoy walking the cape amid the sweet fragrance of narcissus during the day, then warm themselves with hot springs and hotpot cuisine at night. For dinner, guests are served the signature dish "Seasonal Boiling Stone-Grilled Barrel Hotpot," featuring local seafood and mountain delicacies in a miso-based preparation. The aromatic char unique to stone-grilling and the immersive atmosphere of rising steam create special memories of a winter journey.

Even in winter, guests can enjoy a seaside stay where the pleasant sea breeze gently warms the body.
