Marna Co., Ltd., a Tokyo-based lifestyle goods manufacturer, has launched new colors for its Shupatto Compact Bag in three sizes (S/M/L) as of March 17, 2026.
The Shupatto Compact Bag was developed to address common frustrations with conventional eco bags — such as the difficulty of folding them and the struggle to fit them back into their pouches. Thanks to a pleated structure, both ends can be pulled to instantly collapse the bag into a strip shape, which can then be fastened to form a compact bundle. Since the first model launched in November 2015, the lineup has expanded steadily and has established a new standard in portable bags.
The Shupatto Compact Bag is now sold in 35 countries, mainly across Asia and Europe, and has been embraced not just as a shopping bag but as a functional and stylish accessory — chosen to complement outfits or given as gifts. The new colors were developed in response to requests from customers worldwide who wanted shades that could serve as a fashion accent or express personal style.
The new colors follow a theme of "timeless accent colors" — shades that remain stylish regardless of trends. Joining the existing soft-toned lineup are 7 new solid colors: both vivid, refined hues and calm, classic tones.
