Telmont Launches Second Release of 100% Organic Champagne RÉSERVE DE LA TERRE ROSÉ

Champagne Telmont has announced the second release of TELMONT RÉSERVE DE LA TERRE ROSÉ (ORGANIC), a 100% organic rosé champagne representing the next chapter of the Maison's Manifest Cuvée series. Crafted exclusively from organically grown grapes, the cuvée is produced without herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, or synthetic fertilizers.

Three Terroirs Creating a Harmonious Rosé Champagne

TELMONT RÉSERVE DE LA TERRE ROSÉ (ORGANIC) draws from a carefully selected mosaic of terroirs, each bringing its own distinct character to the blend. In Tauxières Premier Cru, south- to southwest-facing parcels planted in chalky-clay soils deliver a refined balance of minerality, freshness, and structure. The Damery plots, dominated by marl and fossil-rich limestone on south- to southeast-facing slopes, contribute roundness and depth. Slow, even ripening there preserves acidity while amplifying the expressiveness of the fruit. Further south, Champignol-lez-Mondeville — with its stony, clay-limestone soils — provides excellent drainage and gentle maturation, yielding wines of delicate structure and rich aromatic character. Together, these three terroirs produce a rosé champagne that balances harmony and precision.

A Multi-Vintage Blend of Three Grape Varieties

The cuvée's personality is shaped by a precise blend of Meunier (43%), Chardonnay (34%), and Pinot Noir (23%) — with 15% of the Pinot Noir vinified as still red wine. A standout element is the inclusion of a 100% Pinot Noir red wine from the 2021 vintage, harvested in Champignol-lez-Mondeville in the Côte des Bar district. Gentle maceration in stainless steel tanks carefully extracts colour and refined tannins, adding beautiful structure and aromatic depth while preserving freshness and elegance.

The blend spans three vintages: 2022 (73%), a sun-drenched year delivering exceptional quality and yield; 2021 (16%), a challenging year for volume but outstanding in grape quality; and 2020 (11%), which combined generous yields with excellent quality. With a dosage of 6.4 g/L, the layering of different vintages creates remarkable balance and complexity, allowing the natural character of the fruit to shine.

Taste Profile: Pure Fruit and Terroir Expression

In the glass, TELMONT RÉSERVE DE LA TERRE ROSÉ (ORGANIC) presents a luminous, delicate pink hue with fine, lively bubbles. On the nose, elegant toasty notes reminiscent of sourdough bread give way to subtle grilled nuances, before opening up to rich red fruit aromas. On the palate, a vibrant, sun-ripened richness meets striking freshness, with the purity of organic fruit clearly expressed. Subtle hints of graphite and blood orange add complexity, while the finish lingers with a pleasant bitterness, a touch of salt, and a gentle spice — leaving a lasting impression of harmony and balance.

"In the Name of Mother Nature": Telmont's Vision for the Future

Organic farming and regenerative viticulture sit at the core of Telmont's "In the Name of Mother Nature" environmental programme, which launched in 2021. At a time when only around 6% of vineyards in Champagne hold organic certification, Telmont achieved Regenerative Organic Certification® (ROC™) for its organically certified vineyards in 2025. The initiative goes beyond environmental conservation — it reflects Telmont's philosophy of quality, cultivating grapes that more purely and precisely express the character of their terroir. The commitment extends to every element of the product, including the choice of green glass bottles containing up to 87% recycled glass, replacing clear glass that cannot incorporate recycled materials.
