The Vessel Inn Asakusa (Tsukuba Express) in Taito, Tokyo, completed the renovation of all 173 guestrooms on March 31, 2026. The hotel, operated by Vessel Hotel Development Co., Ltd., had been carrying out phased room renovations since December 2025, and this marks the full completion of that work.
As part of the renovation, the room lineup was also reconfigured from the previous 175 rooms: four single rooms were reduced, and two superior rooms were added to meet growing demand from families and inbound travelers.
Renovation Details
The hotel first opened under the Vessel Inn brand in April 2023. During this latest renovation, rooms that had not been updated at the time of the rebrand opening were fully refreshed. The work included replacing ceiling and wall coverings as well as carpets throughout every room. All rooms are now designed as shoe-free spaces, allowing guests to remove their shoes and relax as they would at home — a setup that is also reassuring for families with small children.
Beds, headboards, desks, and chairs were also renewed. Additionally, the first-floor coworking space was renovated to accommodate a variety of uses, including remote work and meetings.
Room Types
The property now offers 173 rooms across four room types: one Deluxe Room (39.2 sqm), six Superior Rooms (27.0 sqm), 95 Comfort Twins (13.5 sqm), and 70 Comfort Singles (11.4–13.5 sqm).
Coworking Space and Lobby
The redesigned coworking space on the first floor is available primarily to hotel guests and is suited for solo remote work or small meetings.

Hotel Access and Amenities
The hotel is located a 6-minute walk from the A2 exit of Asakusa Station on the Tsukuba Express line. Asakusa Hanayashiki amusement park is 7 minutes on foot, and the iconic Kaminarimon gate at Asakusa is approximately 14 minutes away.
Breakfast at the hotel follows the theme of "A morning meal to enjoy Tokyo's old downtown" and features dishes such as Fukagawa-meshi (clam rice), Chanko nabe-style simmered udon, tuna rice bowls, and festival stall-style foods.
