Original Baseball Glove Making Workshop for Parents and Children at Dai-ichi Hotel Ryogoku — July 29, 2026

Dai-ichi Hotel Ryogoku, located directly connected to Ryogoku Station on the Toei Oedo Line in Sumida Ward and offering views of Tokyo Skytree®, will hold a parent-child baseball glove making workshop on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

The event is organized in collaboration with baseball equipment specialty store "Baseman" and sports goods maker Rawlings Japan LLC, both of which support grassroots baseball activities aimed at growing participation among younger players. Participants will sew together die-cut leather pieces using leather cord to craft a genuine softball baseball glove.

The workshop also includes a lunch buffet, and children will receive an MLB Official Game Ball as a gift. At the venue, there will be a special exhibition corner featuring stories from the active career of the hotel's president, Yukio Yoshida — a gold medalist in baseball at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics — along with his uniform from that era, the actual gold medal, and photographs.
