Summary
This time, I toured Shimonoseki, Tsunoshima, Nagato, and Nagato Yumoto in Yamaguchi Prefecture using the Yamaguchi West Pass (unlimited rides on trains, buses, and ships in the tour area for two days) sold by setowa!
The seafood was delicious, the hot spring town was fun, and it was a very satisfying 2-day/1-night trip.

Travel Itinerary
8:50am Shimonoseki Station（下関駅）
This trip started from Shimonoseki Station!
It was a convenient station with many stores.

Shimonoseki Station is located in Takezaki-cho, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. It is a stop on the West Japan Railway Sanyo Main Line and Kyushu Railway Sanyo Main Line, and is located at the westernmost point of Honshu. There is a large commercial complex in front of the station, and there are also souvenir shops and supermarkets on the premises. Shimonoseki Station is also a terminal station connecting the Sanyo Main Line running along the Seto Inland Sea side of Honshu, the Sanin Main Line running along the Sea of Japan coast, and Honshu and Kyushu.
Karato Bus Stop（唐戸 バス停）
First, take a bus to Karato.

9:00am Karato Market（唐戸市場）
Arrive at Karato Market! You can eat fresh fish here.
There is an event called Bakan Street and there is a huge amount of sushi! Shoppers will give you their recommendations.

Karato Market, located in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is a popular market where even tourists can enjoy shopping. The specialty of the market is the “Iki-iki Bakangai,” a food stall event held every weekend (Fridays through Sundays) and on national holidays. A wide variety of sushi and seafood rice bowls are lined up, making it a great place to eat and drink. You can also eat on the surrounding benches or on the rooftop while enjoying the view of the ocean.

Return to Shimonoseki by bus.

Take a special train from Shimonoseki.
11:30am Kottoi station（特牛駅）
Then we arrived at an unmanned station.
Retro atmosphere. I found a notebook to record my trip!
Take a bus to Todai Koenmae!

Kottoi station is an unmanned station on the West Japan Railway (JR West) San-in Main Line, located in Oaza Kanda, Houhoku-cho, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The station has a retro atmosphere, and word on the street is that a notebook is placed there to record the journey. It is also known as the filming location for the movie “Four Days of Miracles,” and the props used in the filming are on display.
12:30pm Gran Vista Tsunoshima（グランビスタ角島）
Lunch is served here, where you can enjoy dishes made with Yamaguchi seafood!
Bukkake Luxury Kaisendon is a bowl of rice topped with 13 kinds of seafood piled up like a tower. It was insanely delicious✨

Located in Tsunoshima, Houhoku-cho, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Gran Vista Kakushima is a restaurant where you can enjoy the view of the Sea of Japan. You can enjoy a wide range of dishes from Japanese cuisine using fresh seafood to pizza. Located a 10-minute drive from Tsunoshima Ohashi Bridge, the restaurant is ideal for sightseeing in the popular Kakunoshima area.
2:00pm Tsunoshima Lighthouse（角島灯台）
Visit Tsunoshima Lighthouse, the first large lighthouse on the Sea of Japan side.

Kakunoshima Lighthouse, located in Kita-Nagato Kaigan National Park, is the first large lighthouse on the Sea of Japan coast. The area around the lighthouse is maintained as “Kakunoshima Lighthouse Park,” and the old government office building where the lighthouse keeper lived is used as a museum. Admission is from 9:00 to 17:00 (10:00 to 16:30 from October to February).
Tsunoshima Lighthouse Park（角島灯台公園）
From the park where the first lighthouse on the Sea of Japan side stands, you can look up at Tsunoshima Lighthouse from directly below.

Oyama Ikoi no Ie Bus Stop (Blue Line Transportation) – 尾山憩の家 バス停（ブルーライン交通）
Take a bus back to Tokyuu Station.
You can also enjoy the view from Kakunoshima Ohashi Bridge on the way back!

Oyama Rest House Bus Stop (Blue Line Transportation) is located in Toyokita-cho, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. It has convenient access to Tokyuu Station and is especially popular by word of mouth for the scenery from Kakunoshima Ohashi Bridge. When using the bus, why not enjoy the surrounding scenery as well?
Kottoi station
From Kottoi station, take the bright red train to Nagatoshi Station.
Nagatoshi Station（長門市駅）
Arrived at Nagatoshi Station. It is a big station.

Located in Higashi fukawa, Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Nagatoshi Station is a station of West Japan Railway Company (JR West). The area is dotted with tourist spots and commercial facilities, and is used by locals and tourists alike as a transportation hub.
5:00pm Yakitori Koumori（焼きとり こうもり）
The first bar is the oldest yakitori restaurant in Nagato.
A fun store with fun shoppers and fun regulars.
Menus are on the wall.
Skin, Kashiwa, Eggs
Salt and onions are the standard for yakitori in Nagato!
I had it with yuzu kosho ( Seasoning made from chili pepper and yuzu) on it.
tripe
tripe is sauce! Sprinkle plenty of shichimi (A Japanese seasoning made by mixing chili pepper with condiments and spices) on them!
beef tongue
This is a regular’s recommendation! I get it with garlic powder and it is excellent.

Koumori, located in Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is a long-established yakitori restaurant that has been in business for 75 years. It serves yakitori in its most delicious state, preserving the traditional taste of yakitori from long ago. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere and is well-loved by regular customers. In addition, according to word of mouth, the staff is very friendly and welcoming.

7:00pm KULABO Taishokan（KULABO 大正館）
Here is the hotel where we will stay today.
The room was simple but cute with a particular design in some places!
