Arpege story Original, a womenswear brand run by Arpege Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President Maiko Noguchi), is releasing "wearable skincare" — apparel finished with a treatment that moisturizes the skin.
A compact-fitting T-shirt and a rib knit tank with a comfortable fit: everyday basic tops, essential to our daily style, evolve into "cosmetics."
Simply by wearing them, they smooth the skin's texture and add moisture, proposing a new beauty habit built around "wearable skincare."

Beautiful From Everyday Wear: What Is "Wearable Skincare"?

The fabric is finished with a process that binds cosmetic-grade beauty ingredients (ceramide NP) to its fibers. As the garment is worn, these beauty ingredients are transferred onto the skin, replenishing moisture and oil, guarding against dryness, and keeping the fabric supple. Gentle on the skin and comfortable to wear — that's Arpege story Original's "wearable skincare" series.
The basic T-shirts and tank tops in the series have a smooth touch that's comfortable to wear even for sensitive skin.
Pieces you'll want to wear again and again, every day...
Items like these turn "wearable skincare" into a new daily habit.

The "Secret" Behind the Moisture

"Wearable skincare" uses a processing technology built on a vesicle structure, attaching multilayered cosmetic ingredients to the fibers — an oil layer (a cosmetic-grade blend of squalane and ceramide NP, the same components found in natural human sebum) and a water layer (hydrolyzed silk). When these vesicles touch the skin, the cosmetic ingredients are transferred onto it.
That means the skin receives moisture every time the garment is worn.
The effect fades once the vesicles are depleted, but because T-shirts and tank tops are items people tend to replace regularly, "wearable skincare" is an easy habit to keep up.
