BAPE® is offering a special hamaya (demon-breaking arrow) novelty to celebrate the New Year. This item respects the traditional meaning of the hamaya as an auspicious charm while incorporating BAPE®'s refined design, creating a special piece to mark the beginning of the year.
Crafted by Master Artisans
The hamaya body is crafted by Ise Miyachu, a long-established company that has been creating kamidana (household Shinto altars) and Shinto ritual items in Ise, the sacred city, for over 80 years. The pieces are handmade by shrine carpenters designated as Traditional Craftsmen of Mie Prefecture.
The hamaya uses only precious Kiso cypress aged 150 to 300 years. The finish showcases the natural beauty and pure elegance of this carefully aged cypress.
Premium Quality Feathers
The feathers are processed by Kawada Feather, who also works on BAPE®'s down products with "KAWADA DOWN." Kawada Feather is a trusted manufacturer with world-class quality in down raw material supply, widely used by domestic and international apparel brands. The light and high-quality feathers add an elegant presence to the entire hamaya.
The hamaya measures approximately 22cm in total length. It combines auspicious New Year symbolism with confirmed quality.
Distribution Details
Customers who purchase ¥50,000 (tax included) or more at designated stores will receive the "APE HEAD HAMAYA" as a gift.
