Conrad Osaka, located in the Nakanoshima area of Osaka, is hosting a fantastical sweets buffet called "Melon de Green Neverland", taking guests to a Neverland where the heart never grows old, filled with the flavors of in-season melon. The buffet runs from September 4 (Friday) to November 29 (Sunday), 2026, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
A Whimsical World of Melon and Fantasy
Set against a refined buffet table styled in vivid shades of green, the spread conjures a world brimming with adventure and fantasy. The pastry team has crafted playful sweets inspired by pirates, mermaids, and fairies, generously featuring in-season melon throughout, drawing guests into what feels like a dream. Items inspired by London — the setting of the "Peter Pan" story — also appear on the table, while even the savory dishes incorporate melon, extending the storybook world across the entire buffet.
The dessert lineup includes an adorable crocodile-shaped "Melon Vanilla Mousse," a "Melon Hook" evoking a pirate and the deep blue sea, and "Fairy Melon Muffins" that look as though fairies are dancing through a flower field — sweets that let guests enjoy the storybook world on the plate. Guests can savor in-season melon to the fullest with around 17 types of sweets in total, including a generously melon-filled "Melon Shortcake," a melon-shaped "Melon Mousse," and a "Melon Clock Tart" modeled after London's clock towers.
DIY Eton Mess Station

The ever-popular DIY corner lets guests customize their own version of Eton Mess (Pavlova), a traditional British confection loved throughout the UK. Eton Mess combines crisp meringue with whipped cream and fruit, and is said to have originated when it was served during a cricket match between the prestigious English schools Eton College and Harrow School in the early 20th century. Guests choose from three specialty creams (melon, chantilly, and chocolate), four sauces, and six decoration items — including meringue and cookies — arranged on the buffet table, mixing and layering their favorites into a glass. To finish, a pastry chef flambés melon on a griddle right in front of guests, or offers fragrant caramelized melon as an optional topping, for a lively, hands-on DIY experience.

Signature Melon Sweets

Melon Vanilla Mousse, finished with a cute melon-mousse design, represents the crocodile chasing Captain Hook in "Peter Pan." A vivid green melon vanilla mousse is coated in chocolate for an endearing expression, presented with playful flair as though it were lurking in a sea of coins spilling from a treasure chest.

Melon Shortcake lets guests savor melon to the fullest, with juicy melon generously sandwiched between three layers of moist sponge and topped with large chunks of fruit, delivering the rich sweetness and freshness of melon in every bite — a luxurious shortcake for true melon lovers.

Melon Clock Tart, modeled after a London clock tower, is inspired by the streets and culture of London that appear early in the story of "Peter Pan." A fragrant almond tart is layered with cut melon and vivid blue curaçao jelly, with chocolate used to depict a clock face and hands. It's a light tart that combines the sweetness of melon with the refreshing taste of curaçao jelly.

Melon Hook (front) evokes a pirate and the deep blue sea, layering melon-and-yogurt mousse over a tart soaked in melon syrup, and finished with chocolate shaped like Captain Hook's hook. The tart's fragrant crunch pairs with the refreshing taste of melon and the mellow tang of yogurt.
Melon Donut (center) is a donut filled with melon jam, coated in milky white chocolate. Melon cream is piped at the center, and the donut is finished with a feather-motif chocolate piece inspired by the Native American characters in the story, for a striking presentation.

Melon Mousse, shaped like a musk melon, hides a sponge cake inside a mousse made from tangy, rich melon and fromage blanc. This pastry chef recommendation carefully recreates the netted pattern and stem of a real melon for a beautiful finish, paired with the light taste of fromage blanc.

Fairy Melon Muffin, evoking fairies dancing through a flower field, is a fluffy baked muffin filled with melon jam and topped with smooth melon cream and fresh melon. A fairy-silhouette chocolate piece and silver dragées resembling fairy dust complete this charming treat that looks as though it might flutter away at any moment.
Savory Dishes Inspired by the Story

Savory dishes also draw generously on the appeal of melon, offering a special experience infused with the story's atmosphere and culture.
Flower Garden Salad – Melon, Feta, Mustard Dressing: A colorful flower-garden-style salad scattered with tomatoes, melon, and cheese. The sweet-and-salty balance of melon and rich feta cheese is accented by a refreshing mustard dressing.
Chilled Spaghettini – Edamame, Melon, Trapanese Pesto: A cool, chilled spaghettini tossed with Sicily's traditional "Trapanese pesto," rich with the aroma of almonds and tomato. Fresh melon's gentle sweetness gives the dish a light, refreshing finish.
Shrimp Couscous – Melon, Kale, Red Onion: A colorful salad pairing shrimp and couscous with the sweetness of melon, along with the slight bitterness of kale and the crunch of red onion.
Sweet-and-Sour Sautéed Paprika and Zucchini – Ricotta Salata: Vibrant paprika and zucchini sautéed sweet and sour, topped with ricotta salata and pine nuts, bringing together the natural sweetness of the vegetables, the mild saltiness of the cheese, and the fragrant crunch of pine nuts.
