DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba, Tokyo will hold a series of large-scale collaboration events with Aomori Prefecture as its Christmas program, from Thursday, November 12 to Friday, December 25, 2026.
In Western Christmas culture, the apple is a symbol of the season. Following that custom, the mall has teamed up with Aomori Prefecture, which is known for its apples. The event introduces the surprising connection between Christmas and apples, shares the appeal of Aomori apples (Aomori produces more apples than any other prefecture in Japan), and proposes a new way to enjoy Christmas in Japan.
Visitors can spend time in a special Christmas space with apple-themed decorations.
Highlights
- "Happy APPLE Holidays" giant apple Christmas tree lighting event
- The whole mall decorated in a special apple-themed Christmas style
- A "Gacha" capsule machine where every try wins Aomori apples or related products
- A tie-up with a popular idol group (details to be announced later)

Apple-Themed Christmas Decorations Throughout the Mall
Various places inside DiverCity Tokyo Plaza will be transformed into apple-themed Christmas spaces.
A giant "apple Christmas tree" about 4 m tall will stand in Festival Plaza during the event. The red and gold ornaments on the tree are modeled on apples, which are said to be the origin of Christmas tree decorations.
In front of the tree, a large apple-shaped acrylic object inspired by Aomori apples will serve as a photo spot, where visitors can have their picture taken as if they were inside an apple, together with Aomori Prefecture's logo "AOMORIONE" placed at the center.
Mini Christmas trees will be placed around the mall, the food court will have tables covered in apples, and some elevators will be wrapped in an apple design, so the mall offers photogenic scenes wherever you look.
