HMV record shop Shinjuku Marks 10 Years With Limited Collaboration Goods From TOKYO FM's "MURO presents KING OF DIGGIN'"

HMV record shop Shinjuku, which opened on October 1, 2016, reaches its 10th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, the record store is collaborating with "MURO presents KING OF DIGGIN'," the TOKYO FM program broadcast every Wednesday.

"KING OF DIGGIN'" is a popular program about the appeal of analog records and new encounters with music. Its navigator is DJ MURO, one of Japan's leading DJs, who has strong support in Japan and overseas as the "world's number-one digger."

Created by two parties who love record culture, the collaboration includes limited collaboration goods, collaboration posters displayed in stores, and used-record sales at HMV record shop Shinjuku. The goods sales and poster displays are also being held at three other stores (HMV record shop Shibuya, HMV record shop Coppice Kichijoji, and HMV record shop Shinsaibashi) and on HMV record shop ONLINE.

HMV record shop currently runs four stores in Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Kichijoji in Tokyo and Shinsaibashi in Osaka. As records are being re-evaluated and growing in popularity in Japan, the stores welcome music and record fans, visitors from overseas, and younger customers encountering records for the first time. HMV record shop aims to remain a cultural hub that introduces records as one way to enjoy music.

Also to mark the 10th anniversary, and as thanks to regular customers, HMV record shop Shinjuku will hold a special sale every weekend featuring many rare records and popular titles. In-store, shoppers can enjoy finding a record they have long been searching for or discovering a new favorite.

The sale is split into two parts, LATIN and BRASIL. The LATIN selection includes LOS MAC'S "KALEIDOSCOPE MEN" and TRAFFIC SOUND "TRAFFIC SOUND," along with psychedelic rock, salsa, and other titles. The BRASIL selection includes "PRA QUEM SABE DAS COISAS" and MANITOU "O INCRiVEL MANITO," among other premium items. 7-inch records are also planned.

POPUP STORE "DIGGIN' HOUSE"

As a seasonal feature of the cultural autumn, the POPUP STORE "DIGGIN' HOUSE" for TOKYO FM's "MURO presents KING OF DIGGIN'" is being held again this year with the cooperation of HMV record shop.
