Hotel Kanazawa in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, is releasing a limited-edition "White Day Baked Goods Gift 2026" from March 1, 2026. The four-piece set is a creation of the hotel's pastry team and showcases carefully selected local ingredients from Ishikawa.
A Blend of Japanese and Western Confectionery
The highlight of the collection is the Noto Dainagon and Matcha Madeleine. Inside an aromatic matcha batter are whole Noto Dainagon azuki beans — grown in the Oku-Noto region and prized for their exceptionally large, gem-like grains and refined flavor. The beans are cooked to a plump, tender finish, and their elegant taste pairs beautifully with the pleasant bitterness of the matcha.
The full four-piece assortment also includes:
- Madeleine (Plain) – with bright orange zest worked into the batter for a refreshing fragrance
- Financier (Plain) – made with domestic butter and almond powder for a richly flavored bake
- Financier (Noisette) – a hazelnut variation on the classic financier
All four items come packaged together in an original paper bag.
