FIVE – Grill & Lounge, the all-day dining restaurant on the third floor of Hyatt Centric Kanazawa in Ishikawa Prefecture, will be serving the "Blissful Melon Afternoon Tea" from Monday, May 18 to Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The limited-time menu makes generous use of seasonal melon across a variety of sweet and savory preparations.

The centerpiece of the afternoon tea is the Melon Bowl — a half-sized melon used as its own vessel, filled with an assortment of hotel-made melon sweets. The lineup includes a light and airy melon short cake, a delicate melon millefeuille, Kahokugata milk blancmange, tonka bean vanilla ice cream, mascarpone chibust, and jasmine cheesecake — all designed to complement the fruit's natural sweetness. Coconut guimauve, macarons, and champagne jelly are arranged on top, along with the scooped-out melon flesh, giving guests the option to enjoy the various desserts like a parfait all the way to the last bite.

On the savory side, the menu features a classic prosciutto and melon combination, a refreshing red melon ceviche with shrimp, a swordfish fritto with melon salsa sauce, and a standout melon bread spicy chicken burger made with a bun from Kanazawa's local Notohiba Kara Bakery.

Mascarpone Chibust
A soft mousse made from creamy mascarpone, caramelized on top. Light in texture yet rich in flavor.

Melon Short Cake
Fluffy sponge cake layered with fresh melon and smooth cream, bringing out the refined sweetness of the fruit.

Tonka Bean Vanilla Ice Cream
Vanilla ice cream with the distinctive aroma of tonka bean — evoking hints of almond and rum — that pairs beautifully with the juicy melon.

Kahokugata Milk Blancmange
Made with milk from Hori Ranch's Kahokugata dairy in Ishikawa Prefecture. The naturally deep and mellow flavor pairs well with the accompanying fresh melon and Noilly Prat melon soup.

Coconut Guimauve / Macaron / Champagne Jelly
Additional toppings that enrich the overall flavor profile and add a colorful accent. Guests can mix and match for different taste combinations.

A melon bread bun from local Kanazawa bakery Notohiba Kara Bakery, filled with Cajun-marinated chicken. The playful contrast between fruity sweetness and spice makes this a standout item.
