Children's shoe brand IFME (by Marubeni Consumer Link Co., Ltd.) is introducing new summer shoes from its "IFME Norimono (Vehicle) Series" and "IFME×TRAIN Series" at IFME directly managed stores, its online store, and authorized retailers from mid-April 2026.
IFME has been offering water shoes suited for leisure activities, featuring a water-draining sole and an upper structure that covers the toes to help protect against injuries. These features have earned strong popularity among customers. With Japan's summers growing longer and hotter — the summers of 2023, 2024, and 2025 each broke previous heat records, and Tokyo's average high in September 2025 reached 30.9°C — IFME is rebranding its water shoes lineup as "IFME Summer Shoes" starting with its spring/summer 2026 products. The new name reflects the brand's intention to offer shoes that can be used on both land and water, keeping kids comfortable throughout the extended summer season.
New "IFME Norimono Series" Debuts with Vehicle-Inspired Sandal Designs
Following the success of the "Working Vehicles" motif series launched in August 2025, the IFME Norimono Series introduces summer shoes for the first time. The designs draw on vehicles familiar to children and are aimed at kids who love cars.
The lineup includes a police car design featuring cool black-and-white coloring, and a ladder fire truck design with its signature red body and eye-catching ladder detail. Both styles are designed to put a smile on the faces of vehicle-loving children.
IFME×TRAIN Series Returns with New Designs After Nearly Two Years
The IFME×TRAIN Summer Shoes mark the first new release from the IFME×TRAIN line since the water shoes launched in 2024. The new version features a dual-belt design with thinner elastic laces on the upper for improved breathability. While still carrying the colorful shinkansen-inspired design, the shoes have been restyled for everyday use, making them easier to put on and take off.
In addition, a new Yamanote Line design joins the lineup — a summer shoe version of the popular "IFME×TRAIN Yamanote Line Sneaker" that has been on sale since 2023.
