Karuizawa Asama Prince Hotel (Minamikaruizawa, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano) will hold a two-day-only "Lunch & Dessert Buffet: Drawn by the Fragrance of Peach — An Adult Tea Party" on July 19 (Sunday) and July 20 (Monday, national holiday), 2026. The event marks the first restaurant event organized by the hotel's newly appointed head chef and is part of the hotel's signature dining series, KARUIZAWA asamariage.

About the Event
The buffet takes a half-buffet format: guests receive one individually plated dish each from the chef's signature lunch course, then enjoy an open dessert buffet. The venue, ダイニング ブルーム on the first floor, features 9-meter-high panoramic windows offering an unobstructed view of Mt. Asama.

Head Chef: Yuuki Kuroda

Yuuki Kuroda trained at Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris, including Le Relais Louis XIII and Taillevent. After returning to Japan, he served as sous chef at Shangri-La Tokyo before taking up the head chef role at Ristorante Café Ciliegio inside The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo in July 2023. In April 2026, he was appointed head chef at ダイニング ブルーム in Karuizawa Asama Prince Hotel. This two-day buffet is his first restaurant event in this role.
Chef's Plated Dishes
Each guest receives one portion of each of the following three dishes, served individually.

Cold Capellini with Karuizawa Amela Tomato and Peach
A chilled pasta combining Karuizawa-grown Amela tomatoes with white peach for a pleasantly sweet-tart balance. Finished with a hint of fresh mint.

Pork and Herb Porchetta with Balsamic Sauce
A classic Italian preparation of pork rolled with a variety of herbs and garlic. The aromatic herbs and garlic fill the dining room and pair naturally with the balsamic sauce.

Peach and Black Tea Melba Style
A riff on the traditional British dessert originally created for opera singer Dame Nellie Melba. At ダイニング ブルーム, the dish is reinterpreted with peach and black tea: raspberry, peach compote, non-alcoholic white wine jelly, and milk tea ice cream are combined into a harmonious whole.
